New Project, Multi-Clarinet Stand

By |February 12th, 2011

It’s been some time since I’ve made an update on the website but I thought I’d take some time out to let everyone know what I’ve been up to.

I’ve moved the workshop and am still trying to get that in order but at least it’s currently usable.

I’ve been comissioned by the manager of a music store to design and build a compact multi-clarinet stand. I wanted the stand to be able to fold up into a small package for transportation but sturdy enough to hold 5-8 clarinets. A triangular shape seemed to be the best apporach for stability and after quite a few iterations of the design using google sketchup I came up with the following. Pictures are just […]

The plans are now available on the Downloadable Woodworking Plans page.

The Tack Trunk is Finally Complete !

By |June 28th, 2010

I used a red oak stain for the outside of the trunk, but kept the inside of the trunk stained a lighter color so that it would be easier to view the contents in low light levels. I also added multiple coats of a spar urethane as a top coat for protection from the elements.

It has been a long time coming but the end results are worth it. If you are interested in building your own trunk using this design I have plans available for download directly from the […]

A Fresh New Look and More To Come Soon !

By |June 2nd, 2010

For those of you that follow the activity on the site I hope you noticed the fresh new look. I decided to try and spend a little time to make the site more appealing to the eye. Let me know what you think!

I have much more space in the workshop now. I’ll post some pictures of the final product soon along with the grooming tote and the bandage wrap holder.

What is even more exciting is that I’m putting the final finishing touches on the wood working […]
