I’ve been busy throughout the fall and the holiday season updating the workshop and creating Christmas gifts. Check out the updated Workshop page to see what’s new there, and the Completed Projects pages for details on the latest creations from The Kraftsman! The workshop really is a workshop now! With some pushing from Nancy I framed, insulated and sheet rocked the front wall of the garage and the ceiling. I added a second 20 amp circuit and some new lighting. We laid DriCore subfloor and installed laminate flooring!!! I added wainscoting to protect the walls and [...] Since finishing the jewelry chest I’ve been working on learning how to use Sketch-up to build 3D models of my designs. This is a great tool and it helped to make the building of the solar heater platform for the pool a snap. I’ve also used it to design the decking for our pool, [...] Nancy gave me a planer for my birthday this year (2008). Where to store the tool presents somewhat of a problem in the workshop. The planer is too heavy (about 90 lbs) to keep in a cabinet or on a shelve and only pull out when needed. Bench top space is too valuable to [...] |
